With the recurring theme, “We Make Change, Work for Women,” Ms. Eleanor “Beging” B. Soriano, Founder and Chairperson, iLead Tuguegarao Association graced PRO2’s Flag Raising, Awarding and Culmination of 2022 National Women’s Month at the PRO2 Grandstand this morning.
In her message, he addressed empowering words to the women in the police service as she emphasized that change contributed immensely in the advancement and efficiency of women towards work. She also accentuated how the evolving role of women in the society became indispensable in nation-building.
Moreover, outstanding women in the police service were given due recognition as medals and certificates were accorded to the awardees to include Police Lieutenant Anamarie P Anog; Police Lieutenant Loida O Baccay; Police Lieutenant Bernadette H Balauag; Police Staff Sergeant Mary Jane R Padilla; Police Corporal Gretchen L Balubal and Police Corporal Karen Joy C Iringan who received Medalya ng Kagalingan. Meanwhile, Police Staff Sergeant Arlene R Aduca was given Medal ng Papuri.
The event was also highlighted by the showcase of talents to include the Riders Exhibition by the WPS of Regional Highway Patrol Unit 2; Close Quarter Demonstration of the All-Women Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team from the City Mobile Force Company, Santiago City Police Office; and dance number from Cagayano Cops Dancers.
Additionally, the Valley Cops also took part in the signing of the PNP Pledge of Commitment which is a symbol of the PNP being a non-partisan and apolitical organization in relation to the upcoming National and Local Elections 2022.
Further, another guest was accorded with arrival honors as Director General Alex Paul I Monteagudo from the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) visited the Home of the Valley Cops. Said guest who is a proud member of the illustrious Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Dimalupig” Class of 1981 was received by the Police Host, Police Brigadier General Steve B Ludan, PRO2 Regional Director.
