A businessman was arrested by police authorities in the implementation of Search Warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 in Sto. Niño, Maddela, Quirino yesterday.
The suspect was identified as Plaridel Corales,, 40 years old and a resident of said municipality.
The successful arrest of the suspect was done jointly by the operatives of Quirino Provincial Field Unit-Criminal Investigation Detective Group, Regional Field Unit 2 (Lead Unit), 2nd Quirino Provincial Mobile Force Company and Maddela Municipal Police Station through the implementation of Search Warrant issued by Acting Presiding Judge Andrew P. Dulnuan, Second Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 38, Maddela Quirino.
Seized pieces of evidence include one (1) unit ARMSCOR cal. 45 (expired license) w/ SN 142146; one (1) piece Black steel magazine for cal. 45 loaded with eight ( pieces live ammo for cal. 45; one (1) piece black steel magazine for cal. 45 loaded with eight ( pieces live ammo for cal. 45; one (1) unit Cal. 22 rifle Estrella parco R (converted) without serial number; one (1) piece live ammunition for cal. 22 inserted from the firearm clamp and fifty (50) pieces live ammunition for Cal. 22.
The search was done in a peaceful and orderly manner witnessed by the suspect, Barangay Captain Bernardo P. Baldero, Jr. and Barangay Kagawad Rogel A. Gambol, all residents of Brgy. Sto. Niño, Maddela, Quirino.
Arrested suspect and the seized pieces of evidence were brought to CIDG Quirino Provincial Field Unit for documentation and proper disposition prior filing of appropriate case in court.
