Learning the Webinar
“The Alternative Way”
The branch conducted its first ever online meeting via zoom on June 1, 2020 in embracing the new normal and in preparation for the conduct of web seminar or simply called “webinar”.
“We are also lucky enough that we did not have a hard time connecting with Atty. Sangalang as our first Resource Speaker for this activity,” Dir. Reyes added.
The branch adopts the pursuit of the Board to continue promoting the programs of NCMB such as setting up of Labor Management Cooperation and Grievance Machinery and enhancing these bipartite mechanisms while still observing the safety protocols such as social distancing or shifting from the usual physical conduct of seminar to virtual as an alternative way of keeping in touch with our stakeholders both workers and management while we Filipinos, our country and the rest of the world is still taking action to fight against the spread of COVID19.
The Board, likewise, is taking steps to orient the rest of the regions on how to go about an online seminar. “Our top management oriented us on how to go about the seminar/training from pre-registration to post evaluation and is very open for further know-how and improvement,” Lougelyn Deocareza, IT focal said.
“We have been practicing since the start of the month to explore and familiarize ourselves to the features of the application. So far, zoom is very user-friendly and we decided to utilize this for our first webinar entitled “Protecting Workers’ Rights and Management’s Business in a COVID World” which will be on June 23, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. with our Administrator Maria Teresita Lacsamana-Cancio, Executive Director IV and our Resource Speaker, Atty. Apollo X.C.S. Sangalang,” OIC-Director Aerrine Marie Reyes announced today.
